It's more like self-preservation. Not just selfish, but making sure I always take care of myself. I'm known to bestow kindness and favor upon my family, fam, and colleagues. It's a delicate balancing act to provide for oneself and those around me.
I let Tina know that our family reunion will most likely take place in Hawaii. Perhaps our own private island. Or even in Visayas.
Always give to yourself before others unless it's your own kids, nieces, nephews, and grands in need of your assistance.
